Campus Visitors

Visitor registration and check-in procedures for Victory Elementary School.

First-Time Visitors Entering the School

  • Register at the Visitor Management System (VMS) using a valid state-issued photo identification, such as a driver's license, Department of Motor Vehicles identification card, or REAL ID.
  • Visitors using an alternate form of identification, such as a passport, will need office staff to manually register them in the VMS during their first visit and print and issue a visitor's pass.
  • Visitors will have their photo taken using the VMS camera. The photograph will be stored internally by the system and used to print visitor passes on future visits.
  • Face coverings must be removed before the photograph is taken. If a visitor is unable to remove a face covering for religious reasons, a photograph of the visitor's driver's license or other proof of identity may be used.
  • Visitors must follow the check-in and check-out procedures established by the school.

Visitor Check-In Procedures for Subsequent Visits

  • Check in by scanning a state-issued photo ID or by having office staff search for a previously registered visitor by name.
  • When office staff manually search for a previously registered visitor, the visitor will be asked to present a state-issued ID to confirm their identity.
  • Identify the person you are visiting and the reason for your visit.
  • Print the visitor's pass.
  • Visually verify that the person is correctly identified on the visitor's pass.
  • Wear the visitor's pass so that it is clearly visible while on campus.
  • All visitors must identify the staff member they are visiting. The staff member will be notified that the visitor is in the building and should be expected.
  • Visitors must be escorted to and from their destination by a school-designated staff member. District employees and approved vendors and volunteers are exempt from the escort requirement.
  • First responders, including law enforcement and health care professionals responding to a medical emergency, are exempt from the visitor check-in procedures.

Important: All District visitors, including District employees and contractors, must wear their approved identification badge at all times while visiting a school site.
